The Chad and What The Real Estate Market Fears Most - Podcast

Welcome to the latest Rory, Steve and Dave podcast. This time around, the guys give props to The Chad and tackle the (non)issue of what the real estate market fears most…in front of a live studio audience! Yep, it looks like we’ll have an audience each week now. We have an “applause” sign now, so a deal with Ticketmaster can’t be far behind.
If you’re a new agent or going through a rough patch, you’ll gain some great insight that will keep you positive and motivated. There are a lot of stories in both trade and consumer publications that seem geared toward sparking debate and nothing else. They will create fear and doubt if you let them. As Rory says, “Don’t watch, read or listen to the news if you can’t handle the news.”

In their always fun and no-holds-barred style, the guys expose these “fears” as rubbish. Work hard and smart and success will happen. Listen and enjoy. You might even learn a thing or two if you’re not careful.

It’s Okay, Just Admit It…

However, you must eliminate the Lazy, Scared or Stupid in your life and it will happen….Guranteed!!

Bitter Career Face!!

42-17017023.jpgYou know who you are….you’re driving to work looking upset at the world or you’re the bank teller who struggles to answer any question with a smile or you’re the real estate agent who blames everyone but themselves for not getting a paycheck in over 90 days or you’re the waiter who does everything possible to not have a conversation with you because they cannot wait to get home.

How about the CEO, President or Vice President who mopes around the office and exudes no energy however, expects nothing but high levels of motivation and results….You know who you are with the bad case of Bitter Career Face and more importantly….everyone around you knows it too. Bitter Career Face is not a terminal illness and can be easily cured by first understanding that “YOU” control your career. If you do not like something in your career CHANGE IT or CHANGE CAREERS!!!

You need to have fun and be happy with your chosen profession and once you are having fun you will get rid of that Bitter Career Face.

There were suppose to be Eagles in Miami

eagles_fans.jpgI had the trip planned with a few friends to Miami. I knew what hotel the Eagles would be staying at and I had my seats at the game mapped out for the quickest route to the field for the Prince half-time show. I called 2 of the most popular golf courses to hopefully secure a tee time during the weekend as well. I had someone from SuperBowl.Com email me where all the press conferences and players would be and when. I was negotiating the package price and my travel agent was insisting “Mr. Wilfong, the Eagles are not even in the Super Bowl yet, they still have 2 more weeks of games to play.” I would appropriately discredit her pessimistic appraisal of the situation and assured her to the contrary. I then proceeded to tell her please automatically reserve 3 packages when the Eagles win this Saturday in New Orleans and call me Monday for confirmation. Needless to say, I did not receive the phone call on that Monday.

Yes another football season has come and gone and yes I am a huge Eagles fan and even though I must tip my hat to Peyton Manning and his Colts for a great win in Super Bowl XLI, I cannot help but wonder…how much better the golf courses are in Arizona where my beloved Eagles will be in Super Bowl XLII. After all in being a true Eagles fan you get accustomed to saying….”There is always next year.”
