50% of Businesses DO NOT Have A Website
I was reading Business 2.0 (I think it’s one of the greatest magazines) the other and came across a statistic that 50% of businesses do not have a website. You always see that statistic that most small businesses fail within the first couple of years. Do you think there may be a correlation between these two stats. In the information age that we are in and understanding the power of the Internet, how could anybody ever think of starting a business and not have a website from day one.
I can see maybe having a very basic website at first and then upgrading, but NOT have a website at all, is business suicide. Businesses need to be in the mindset that a website is more than just for content. LEAD GENERATION!!!! Traffic to your site is money. You have to make the most of the traffic that you get to your website. You hear about these sites that have ZERO income but are sold for millions and millions of dollars. It is because of traffic to the site.
Leads are valuable to every business, no matter how big or small. Companies live and die by their influx of leads. The next thing is, What Do They Do With The Leads Once They Get Them???? You have to work the leads till they BUY OR DIE!!

Great Article. People need to understand that if they are self employed or fully commissioned they HAVE THEIR OWN BUSINESS and they need to do everything possible to market themselves (including a website) and GENERATE LEADS. The business with the most leads wins as long as long as they are not Lazy, Scared or Stupid to work the leads.
